One of the changes that the new administration would like to propose to the membership is a change in the Hawaiian and the Non-Hawaiian membership category.
As the average age of our membership continues to increase it is becoming more important to begin taking steps to ensure the survival of the club. The administration has drafted this proposed language keeping in mind that the character of the club is deeply influenced by the Hawaiian culture. This amendment will allow the club to bring in other non-Hawaiian born members but at the same time preserve the culture of the club. The thought is that after five years a member in “Good Standing” has demonstrated he understands the power of the Aloha Spirit.
