This month's newsletter was sent out electronically. If you didn't receive it please provide me with your e-mail address and I'll add you on to the distribution list. If you know of someone who is unable to get the newsletter either off of the website or through e-mail please let me know and we'll try to be accommodating. By distributing the newsletter electronically we save over $800 per year and reduce the amount of paper we put in our landfills by one ream of paper per month.

General Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS for payments to the AGC for dues or any other events:

• Do not ask to get cash back from your check. Write your check only for the correct amount owed. Anything over that will be applied to your future dues.

• If you bounce a check to AGC, all future payments must be in cash, cashiers check or money order. You will be responsible for any bank fees incurred as a result of your bounced check.

• Per our Bank; NO third party checks will be accepted. ONLY checks made out to Aloha Golf Club can be accepted.

2009 Starting Time policy

Since the Club’s starting time policy is not defined in the constitution each Administration has defined the guidelines they will apply during their term. The Board of Officers for 2008 has decided to promote Aloha Golf Club new membership as a priority.

With this in mind the following starting time policy will be instituted for this year:

1. Tee times will be assigned based on your net score from the previous tournament.

2. Non players of the previous tournament will be scheduled in the back foursomes after all previous tournament participants have been assigned tee times.

3. Members inviting a guest to play in our monthly tournament will play with their guest in the foursome in which the member is assigned (based on the net score from the previous tournament).

4. Request for a special foursome will follow the same policy as above.

5. If any player of the requested foursome did not play in the previous tournament, this foursome would be the last to tee off.

6. If there is a family event that requires the member to leave the golf course as soon as possible, we will try to accommodate a request for an early tee time.

7. Requests under these scenarios should be called in to or emailed to the Starting Time Chairman by Monday (5) days prior to the tournament date.

8. All members must cancel (14) days prior to the tournament date to avoid being assessed the green fees. Kevin Gomez is the Starting Time Chairman for 2009 and you can contact him at the following:
